We offer you a guide on how to quickly and easily obtain a free YouTube API key. The key is required for working via API protocol with videos, channels, and playlists. Some of our modules use the YouTube Data API, so we have prepared an illustrated guide on how to get a Google API key.
1) Sign in to Google. Go to https://console.cloud.google.com/cloud-resource-manager and create a project if you don't have one yet by clicking "Create project".
2) Fill in the fields and click the "Create" button.
3) Go to https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/library. Select the project you created, then find and click on the "YouTube Data API v3" block.
4) Enable the API by clicking the "Enable" button.
5) Click the "Create credentials" button.
6) Select the data type, for example "Public data", and click the "Next" button.
7) Copy your API key.
