Schema.org Microdata for OpenCart

Description

Schema.org markup is structured data that helps Google understand page content and display rich snippets in search: star ratings, price, availability, breadcrumbs. For an online store this increases CTR from organic search by 15–30% even without position changes.

We implement Schema.org markup in JSON-LD format for OpenCart and ocStore — Google recommends this format as the most reliable and maintainable.

Markup Types

• Product — name, description, image, price, currency, availability
• AggregateRating — rating and review count (stars in snippet)
• BreadcrumbList — breadcrumbs in search results
• Organization — store name, logo, contacts
• WebSite — sitelinks searchbox for Google site search

Technical Implementation

Markup is implemented via OCMOD patch or separate module — without modifying original OpenCart files. After implementation we check markup in Google Rich Results Test and Search Console. All errors and warnings are resolved.
