Migrating an online store is a risky operation without a clear plan. PHP version differences, database encoding mismatches, incorrectly transferred configs can cause errors that are difficult to diagnose after the move.
We migrate OpenCart and ocStore to new hosting and VPS servers with full control over each step. Minimal downtime — DNS switching happens only after the new server is fully verified.
Migration Process
- Full file and database copy preserving encoding (utf8mb3 / utf8mb4)
- New server environment configuration for OpenCart requirements
- Config updates: config.php, admin/config.php, database connection parameters
- Store operation verification on new server before DNS change
- SSL certificate transfer or new certificate issuance
- DNS switching with minimal downtime (TTL strategy)
- Control check after complete switchover
Data Integrity Guarantee
All orders, products, customers and settings are preserved in full. If any discrepancy is found after migration — resolved under warranty. The old server is not disconnected immediately — used as backup for several days.
